A) Simply put a remanufactured printer cartridge is a cartridge that has been collected from consumers and businesses and brought back to OEM specifications. This is done by disassembling, cleaning, and replacing any parts showing even minimal wear-and-tear. Once these cartridges have been restored to the original OEM specifications, they are then filled with high-quality toner (for laser printers) or ink (for inkjet printers).
After the cartridge has been filled with the toner or ink, the cartridge is then tested prior to shipment to the customer to ensure print quality and cartridge performance.
A) A compatible cartridge is a cartridge with an OEM shell and all new parts utilized internally. Re-Ink's toner cartridges are all compatibles due to the quality/performance of laser compatible toner cartridges versus remanufactured toner cartridges. Due to the number of internal moving parts in a toner cartridge all new internal parts provide a higher performing cartridge.
A) Absolutely not. This is a common misconception and the OEMs have not done anything to correct. Can an auto manufacturer dictate what brand of gasoline you use? Or, what brand of tires you put on your car? No, and the same holds true for printer manufacturers and the cartridges you use in the printers.
Supporting this fact is the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975, which states the warranty cannot be voided because of the use of aftermarket products. This is known as the Act.s "anti-tying" provision because it prevents a manufacturer from "tying" its warranty to the use of specific products.
A) Absolutely not. Remember the remanufactured cartridge is nothing more than a recycled OEM cartridge. All you have to do as a consumer is purchase the remanufactured cartridge that is designed and meant for your specific printer.
A) First, we will replace the cartridge completely free of charge. If this does not alleviate the problem, we will pay for a printer repair company to go on site where the problem printer is located. If this company determines the printer malfunction is a direct result of the cartridge we will pay for the printer to be fixed. If it cannot be fixed to your satisfaction, we will pay for a new printer to replace the printer which has malfunctioned.
A) Shipping to your door is always free of charge. All orders plaved by 3 PM EST are guaranteed to ship the very same day and will arrive within 2 business days. In many cases, due to our inventory levels, orders for Colorado customers will arrive the very next day.
A) All orders include either a pre-paid shipping label or a pre-paid pouch for you to place your empty cartridge(s) and then simply leave in your normal U.S. Postal Service pick-up location so we can have them recycled.
A) We support approximately 95% of the printers (including inkjet, laser, fax, and copiers) available on the market today. If you are having trouble locating your machine or cartridge, please contact us directly for a quote.
A) We accept a variety of payment methods. Credit Card customers can use their Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Additionally, we accept checks and PayPal. Finally, for our corporate customers we provide the option of monthly billing.
A) Annually there are more than 300 Million plastic printer cartridges thrown away in the United States and around the world. According to industry sources, this translates to almost 8 cartridges thrown away in landfills every second. While the flow into our nations'landfills can never be stopped, remanufacturers can at least reduce the amount of cartridges into the landfills.
Remanufacturing does make a difference. Every cartridge that is remanufactured and sold to consumers is one less cartridge that needs to be produced by the OEMs, thus saving it from the stream of waste and from draining the Earth's natural resources.
A) OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. This refers to the manufacturer of the printer and the ink they sell. For instance, Hewlett-Packard, Canon, Lexmark, and Brother are OEM's.
